Yoga Classes
I wrote a letter to my yoga practice. You can read it here.
I’m on a break from teaching public classes but when I’m back, there’ll be details here. Meanwhile, I highly recommend these studios: Manumission Yoga in Paddington, The Livingroom in Coogee, and Krama Yoga in Newtown.
My Approach
I support you in class to journey back to your true self.
Yoga isn’t about achieving a certain pose; it’s meant as a moving meditation. The breath and the body are your anchors whenever you get lost in a sea of thoughts.
As we move through an intuitive sequence – which builds on your muscle memory and feels fluid like a dance – I remind you to return to the present moment. You become lost, then you come back. Lost, then back. This is my invitation and I share it passionately.
I teach with traditional elements from Ashtanga Yoga, share reflections on the dharma (the truth of our nature), and allow a generous space for stillness and silence.
My hope is by the end of class, you will have returned home: to that spacious and empty place of pure awareness, your true nature, your essence.
Training
In 2019 I travelled to the island of Nusa Lembongan in Bali to deepen my practice, and was taught the Ashtanga Vinyasa method by David Adame of All Yoga School. I am devoted to practicing with various teachers in Sydney, learning great wisdom and technique by spending time with myself on my mat – the truest form of training.
